Spin Coating
During spin coating a rotating substrate is coated with a homogenous resist layer. The substrate - typically a silicon wafer – is held on a chuck via vacuum suction. The liquid used for coating, typically a photosensitive resist, is dispensed in the middle of the wafer. The rotation speed, acceleration, the process time as well as the physical characteristics of the resist determine the final thickness of the resist.
