Flip Chip
Flip chip, also known as Controlled Collapse Chip Connection (C4), is a method for mounting semiconductor devices on a circuit board using 3D contacts. These drops of solder or “microbumps” are deposited on the chip pads, on the top surface of the wafer, during the final wafer processing step.
