SÜSS MicroTec AG, one of the leading producers of processing and testing devices for microelectronics worldwide, confirms the weak period already predicted by management with provisional figures for the first quarter of 2002. The first quarter development is seasonally not unusual for the semiconductor industry, but is also influenced by the weak economy in this sector.START_OF_TAGBREND_OF_TAGSTART_OF_TAGBREND_OF_TAGIn the first quarter of 2002, net sales were around EUR 28 million, compared to EUR 52 million in last year's first quarter (minus 45%). Order entry in the first quarter of approx.
