If you are interested in economic interrelationships and enjoy helping to shape processes, the commercial apprenticeship at SUSS offers a practical and future-orientated entry-level opportunity. This training programme combines structured thinking with entrepreneurial action. Trainees pass through key areas such as materials management, production planning, human resources, sales, accounting and marketing – and develop a holistic understanding of operational processes. The focus is on tasks such as organising the flow of goods and information, analysing financial processes and supporting internal and external communication. Trainees learn how to use digital tools and modern systems to efficiently manage business processes.

If you are enthusiastic about technology and work with precision, the mechatronics training programme at SUSS is the right place to start. Apprentices learn how complex machines and systems are constructed and how they are installed, maintained and operated efficiently. Everyday training includes the assembly and disassembly of components, the measurement and testing of mechanical functions as well as the maintenance and repair of systems. The installation of control systems and the programming of automated processes are also central components.

Anyone who is interested in high-precision technologies and enjoys working in detail will find a future-oriented perspective in training as a microtechnologist at SUSS. This profession combines technological precision with a sound understanding of processes. Apprentices specialise in microtechnical systems such as computer chips, sensors and other components of modern semiconductor technology. The focus is on advanced manufacturing processes under clean room conditions. The apprenticeship provides practical training in how chemical and mechanical processes are controlled and how complex production systems are safely operated, monitored and further developed.

Those who do not want to choose between training and studying will find a well thought-out and practical solution in the training-integrated mechatronics degree programme at SUSS. Here, participants acquire two recognised qualifications: a shortened mechatronics apprenticeship and a Bachelor of Engineering in mechatronics. The practical vocational training starts in the first year directly at the SUSS site in Sternenfels. From the second year onwards, the degree programme at Pforzheim University adds scientific depth and system understanding to the technical qualification. The programme is demanding, specifically promotes future-relevant skills and is attractively remunerated throughout. This creates a clearly structured path to a technological career with prospects.
